Russian Defense Ministry: We hit strategic facilities for the Ukrainian army - 1

Russian forces have hit gas processing facilities that ensure the work of enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, quoted by TASS.

"Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation caused damage to the infrastructure of military airfields, gas processing facilities that ensure the work of enterprises of the military-industrial sector of Ukraine, workshops for the production of drones and places for their storage", the statement said. It is also stated that a total of 147 strikes were carried out, and Ukrainian army personnel and equipment were also affected.

In parallel with the news from London before the summit of Ukraine's Western allies, the state-run TASS agency began publishing Moscow's response in separate parts. Against this background, the Russian report from the front in Ukraine for the past 24 hours was released about 3 hours later than the usual time of its release.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense's claims about the damage inflicted on military facilities are not confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Force (AVF). They report that on the night of March 2, Ukraine was attacked by 79 Russian attack drones, 63 of which were shot down. The location of 16 of them is unknown. The drones were launched from the following regions in the Russian Federation: Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Other types of Russian drones were shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

We recall that yesterday the Russian military accused Ukrainian forces of trying to destroy the infrastructure of "Turkish Stream". There was no confirmation of this information from Turkey, although it would be a directly affected country. However, this allowed Slovak leader Robert Fico to join Viktor Orban's threats to veto EU decisions regarding the continuation of aid to Ukraine.
