The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 115 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles last night, with another 55 decoy drones disappearing from radars without causing damage to the ground, Ukrinform reported, citing a statement by the Air Force of Ukraine on "Telegram", BTA reports.
„Last night (from 7:30 p.m. yesterday) the enemy launched three „Iskander-M/KN-23“ ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, one missile from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems from the Kursk region, 181 „Shahed“ attack drones and decoy drones of various types launched from the city of Orel in the Oryol region, Kursk in the Kursk region, Millerovo in the Rostov region, Bryansk in the Bryansk region, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar region and Cape Chauda on the Kerch Peninsula in the temporarily occupied Crimea“, the statement said.
The Russian air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare forces and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A total of 115 “Shahed“ attack drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Nikolaev and Odessa regions. Another 55 decoy drones disappeared from radar without causing damage on the ground.
The attack caused damage in Kyiv, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. As a result of the attack in Kyiv region, a kindergarten, a school and several houses were damaged, Ukrinform reported.
