Russia is ready to discuss a temporary ceasefire if the parties have a clear understanding of the main principles of the final peace agreement, Bloomberg writes, citing informed sources.
According to the agency, Moscow's conditions were conveyed to the US delegation during the talks in Riyadh in February.
In particular, Russia will insist on determining the parameters of a possible future peacekeeping mission and deciding which countries will participate in it.
The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that Russia is against the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine. However, two anonymous sources told Bloomberg that Moscow would not oppose the participation of neutral countries - such as China - in the peacekeeping mission.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously spoken out against a temporary ceasefire.
