The United States has provided Russia with specific information on its ceasefire proposal with Ukraine and will continue with face-to-face talks in the coming days, the Kremlin said, as quoted by Reuters.

Negotiators from the United States are traveling to Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov added, without giving further details.

The plane used by US President Donald Trump's special envoy – Steve Witkoff, entered Russian airspace early this morning, Russian state news agency TASS reported, citing the flight tracking application “Flytradar“.

Peskov also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy adviser – Yuri Ushakov and US National Security Advisor Mike Walz held a telephone conversation yesterday.

However, the Kremlin declined to comment on whether Russia had presented Washington with a list of demands for an end to the war in Ukraine and the resumption of bilateral relations with the United States.

Two sources who claimed to be familiar with the negotiations told Reuters that Russian and US officials had discussed Moscow's terms during in-person and virtual conversations over the past three weeks.

“I can neither confirm nor comment on this”, Peskov said. "I can only repeat once again that there is a huge amount of information that is not true, or very little of it," he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin may hold an international phone call later today, the Kremlin said, quoted by Reuters.

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he was expecting a decision from his Russian counterpart on whether to agree to a 30-day ceasefire already approved by Ukraine, which the United States would accept as a first step towards peace talks.

The Kremlin also said today that there was no doubt that Russian troops would soon liberate Russia's Kursk region from Ukrainian forces. The Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after Putin, dressed in military uniform, visited the region on Sunday and ordered his army commanders to complete the liberation of Russian territories as quickly as possible.
