US Vice President JD Vance said last night that he would be very surprised if President Donald Trump wanted nuclear weapons to spread even further east in Europe, Reuters reported.
Vance made the statement in response to a question asked during an interview on "Fox News" about Polish President Andrzej Duda's call for the United States to transfer nuclear weapons to its territory as a deterrent against possible Russian aggression.
"I have not spoken to the president (Trump) on this specific issue, but I would be shocked if he supported the spread of nuclear weapons even further east in Europe," the vice president stressed. USA
In response to a question about whether he could rule out the US economy falling into recession, Vance said that the future could never be predicted. However, he stressed that the US economy is strong.
