“If Chief Justice (John) Roberts and the US Supreme Court do not immediately solve this harmful and unprecedented problem, our country will be in grave danger“, the US president wrote on his social network “Truth Social“ in a new attack on the judiciary.
“These judges want to take over the powers of the president without having to win 80 million votes. They want all the benefits, but none of the risks,” Trump wrote.
The message comes two days after Chief Justice John Roberts called for order.
“For more than two centuries, it has been accepted that removal is not the proper approach to a dispute over a judicial decision,” Roberts said in a statement, adding: “The normal appeals process exists for that purpose.”
The statement came after the Republican president called for the “removal” of James Boasberg, a federal judge in Washington.
