Earlier this month, the Islamic Republic's leadership received a letter from US President Donald Trump, giving Iran two months to decide whether to start new talks or be subjected to even tougher sanctions in line with Trump's concept of exerting maximum pressure on Tehran.
Although Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected the offer for talks, Iran's foreign minister said on Thursday that Tehran would soon respond to Trump's letter.
