According to its sources, “the statement is planned to be published at 4:00 Washington time and 11:00 Moscow time“.
The channel did not provide details about the content of the document. According to media sources, “the messages conveyed to the Trump administration by the expert group in Riyadh seem optimistic“.
Earlier, Reuters reported, citing a source in the White House, that the Washington administration had positively assessed the consultations in Saudi Arabia with representatives of Russia and Ukraine.
A meeting between Russian and American representatives in Riyadh ended yesterday after more than 12 hours of consultations to discuss issues related to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. A source from the Russian delegation also reported that the parties had agreed on a joint statement and that the document was expected to be distributed by the Kremlin and the White House on Tuesday, March 25. The participants did not comment on the results of the meeting.
According to the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the main topic of the consultations was to be issues related to the resumption of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump reached such agreements in a telephone conversation.
