Representatives of the military commands of Britain, France and Ukraine will hold a meeting in the coming days dedicated to providing guarantees for the security of Kiev.
This was told to Reuters by a British government spokesman.
According to him, Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed holding such a meeting in a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky on March 31. It should "pave the way for the next stage of detailed planning" of the steps that members of the "coalition of the willing" can take to help Kiev.
“Leaders discussed their meeting in Paris last week and agreed that there is real potential to support Ukraine's long-term security,“ the British government said.
On March 27, a summit of the so-called Coalition of the Willing was held in Paris, where representatives of about 30 countries discussed possible guarantees for Kiev's security after the end of the Ukrainian conflict. One of the main topics was the potential deployment of a military contingent on the territory of Ukraine. The United States did not take part in the meeting. At the same time, according to media reports, a number of countries are ready to participate in the so-called peacekeeping mission in Ukraine only if they receive support from Washington.
