The Foreign Minister of Greece, Giorgos Gerapetritis, met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, last night in Brussels during the meeting of the foreign ministers of the NATO countries, the electronic edition of the Greek newspaper "Kathimerini" reported, BTA reports.
According to Greek diplomatic sources, the two ministers discussed transatlantic relations, as well as international and regional developments.
Gerapetritis and Fidan set out the next steps in the dialogue between Greece and Turkey, discussing the holding of the next meeting of the High Council for Cooperation between the two countries after Easter, in line with the schedules of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The two ministers also discussed the organization of a Greek business mission to Istanbul on May 8 and 9 and agreed to meet again during the informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers, which will be held on May 14 and 15.
