President Donald Trump has signed an order to lift water pressure restrictions in showers, saying he wants to "take care of my beautiful hair," Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Trump's order aims to repeal water-saving measures introduced by Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
On this occasion, Trump said that he would "end Obama and Biden's war on water pressure and make America's showers great again," according to a White House document.
“Overregulation is choking the American economy, entrenching bureaucracy and stifles personal freedom,” the document said.
Trump ordered the Department of Energy to repeal a rule that limited showerhead flow to 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) of water per minute. The order repeals water usage restrictions on virtually all water-using appliances, such as toilet bowls and dishwashers.
“In my case, I like to take a nice shower, take care of my beautiful hair,” Trump said during a signing ceremony in the Oval Office. He said he had to stand in the shower for 15 minutes under the current water pressure regulations, which he called “ridiculous.”
