The German right-wing party "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) has overtaken the Christian Democratic Union (CDU/CSU) faction in popularity for the first time, Bild newspaper reported, citing data from the INSA sociological institute.
According to the survey, the CDU/CSU's rating has fallen to 24 percent in the past week, while the AfD's rating has risen by two percentage points and is equal to that of the Christian bloc.
