Russian military expert: Ukrainians will try to hold Chasov Yar until the last, after it is a field - 1

The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will do everything possible to hold Chasov Yar until the last, in order to prevent Russian forces from advancing towards the Slavyansk-Kramator agglomeration, believes Russian military expert Andrey Marochko.

"Most likely, they will try to hold this settlement both for military and reputational purposes, since Chasov Yar is located on a strategic height and Ukrainian fighters cannot afford to lose it," he said.

"After the capture of Chasov Yar, the Russian army will be able to advance very quickly, since there are no significant obstacles or fortified areas by Ukrainian fighters. The open field extends all the way to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration".

The military expert noted that the Ukrainians are doing everything possible to prevent Russian fighters from advancing towards Druzhkivka and other settlements located near Chasov Yar.

The activation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Liptsov direction of the Kharkiv region may be associated with the transfer of units of the 92nd Airborne Assault Brigade, which is staffed by 18-24-year-old Ukrainians, Russian law enforcement agencies report.

Previously, Russian fighters destroyed the experienced soldiers of this formation.

In February, territorial military recruitment centers mobilized less than 28 thousand Ukrainians with a total loss of 38,920 servicemen for months.

According to the Russian military department, despite the launch of the “new 18-24 contract“ to recruit Ukrainian youth into the armed forces of Ukraine on a voluntary basis, it is not possible to recruit even two thousand volunteers per month against a target of four thousand.
