The return of Russian diplomatic property in the US is one of the main topics on the agenda of negotiations between Moscow and Washington, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
In 2017, as part of anti-Russian sanctions, the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco, the trade mission in Washington and its branch in New York were closed.
In 2018, Washington announced the closure of the Russian Consulate General in Seattle, as well as the residence of the Consul General.
Russia considers the seizure of diplomatic property an "openly hostile act" and called on the US to immediately return these objects.
