US President Donald Trump's decision to pause the introduction of new tariffs opens an opportunity for dialogue between the affected countries. This was stated by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, quoted by Reuters, reports BTA.
According to him, the measure announced by the US administration - although details about its implementation are still awaited - creates conditions for negotiations that could lead to reaching an agreement.
Sanchez made his statement during his official visit to Vietnam.
We recall that in early April, Donald Trump imposed reciprocal tariffs on a number of countries, which caused strong shocks in global financial markets. In response, China and the European Union took retaliatory trade measures against the US.
