The White House will not respond to questions from reporters who use a preferred pronoun other than their biological sex, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt told the Washington Post. This refers to cases where reporters specify in their interview requests or profiles the pronoun they want to be addressed by. “Any reporter who uses their preferred pronouns in their description is clearly out of touch with biological reality or truth, and therefore cannot be trusted to write objectively and honestly,“ Caroline Leavitt noted. As the newspaper notes, this decision is a new step by the administration of US President Donald Trump in the fight to establish a policy of only two officially recognized genders and the inability to change them. Since taking office, Trump has signed several executive orders aimed at combating “radical leftist ideology“. The White House has canceled the so-called Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies within the government and is calling for their cancellation in schools and private companies. A separate presidential decree approved the recognition of two permanent genders in the United States - male and female. All federal agencies were ordered to remove any information that promotes or imposes gender ideology and were prohibited from using government funding to spread such ideas.
