At least 218 people have died after the roof of a nightclub collapsed in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. This was reported by "Agence France-Presse", citing the head of the rescue teams, BTA reports.
“Unfortunately, according to preliminary data, 218 people have died“, the director of the Emergency Operations Center, Juan Manuel Mendez, told journalists. He said 189 people had been rescued after the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning at the popular nightclub “Jet Set“.
