“How can we be expected to go to South Africa for a very important G-20 meeting, when the main topic of discussion should be land confiscation and genocide? They are taking away the land from white farmers and then killing them and their families. The media refuses to report on this. The US has stopped all contributions to South Africa. Why should we be at the G-20? I don't think so!“ - the head of state wrote in Truth Social.
On February 7, Trump signed an executive order to suspend aid to South Africa in retaliation for "racial discrimination against the republic's white population". The president said he had instructed the government to encourage white farmers to move from South Africa to the United States. He criticized Pretoria for filing a case with the International Court of Justice (UN) in December 2023 accusing Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
