The Yemeni Houthis carried out drone strikes against two military targets in the Tel Aviv area, their military spokesman Yahya Sariyah said.

"The Yemeni armed forces carried out a military operation during which two Israeli military sites in the occupied area of Jaffa (b.r. Tel Aviv) were attacked with drones", the movement's representative said on the air of the Houthi-owned Al-Masirah TV channel.

The Israel Defense Forces reported the interception of a drone approaching Israeli airspace from the east on April 11. According to Al Hadath TV, the remains of a drone launched from Yemen fell in Jordan. There were no reports of damage or casualties after the interception. The Israeli army did not specify which side carried out the attack.

After the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip in 2023, the Houthis warned that they would shell Israeli territory and prevent ships linked to Tel Aviv from passing through the waters of the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The attacks stopped after a ceasefire was declared in Gaza in mid-January this year, but after the truce collapsed in early March, the rebels announced that they had resumed attacks on Israeli ships in the Red Sea and then began trying to attack targets in Israel with missiles again.

On March 15, the United States, under the order of President Donald Trump, began carrying out massive strikes against Houthi targets, who control about a third of Yemen. The operation is aimed at protecting American interests and ensuring freedom of navigation, the US Central Command said. In response, the Ansar Allah movement carried out a series of attacks on the US aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea, using missiles and drones. There were no reports of damage to the ship.
