Seven people were killed today in an Israeli airstrike on a car in the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, the DPA agency reported, citing Palestinian medical sources, BTA reports.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released. The Israeli military said it was investigating the case.
On March 18, Israel resumed its military operations in Gaza after ending the implementation of the temporary ceasefire with the "Hamas" group, which had been in effect for nearly two months.
The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023, when "Hamas" and other factions launched an attack on Israel, killing about 1,200 people and abducting approximately 250.
In response, Israel launched a large-scale military campaign in the Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian authorities, more than 50,000 people have been killed since the start of the conflict. The figures do not clearly distinguish between civilians and combatants, but human rights groups have expressed serious concern about the high number of women and children among the victims.
The DPA agency notes that it cannot independently verify the information from Gaza.
