Russian attacks overnight caused a fire at a gas station in Zaporizhia, injuring at least eight people and damaging homes in southeastern Ukraine, local authorities reported, quoted by "Reuters", reports News.bg.
No one was injured in the fire itself, which broke out after a drone attack, the governor of Zaporizhia region Ivan Fedorov said in a post on Telegram. He shared a photo showing large flames engulfing a building in the middle of the night.
In March, Russia and Ukraine accepted a US proposal for a 30-day moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure. However, the two sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating the agreement. It is not yet clear whether the gas station was directly targeted or whether the fire was caused by debris from a downed drone.
Seven people were injured in another Russian drone attack in the Black Sea port of Odessa. The attack damaged several homes and a medical facility, Ukraine's Emergency Service said.
Meanwhile, in the Nikopol region of Dnipropetrovsk, a 53-year-old man was wounded in heavy artillery fire, according to Governor Sergei Lysak.
The attacks come just a day after Russia's deadliest strike of the year - ballistic missiles hit the center of the city of Sumy, killing 34 people and wounding 117.
Moscow has not commented on any of the latest strikes. Both sides in the conflict deny targeting civilians.
