Students clashed with police after blocking the intersection of two streets in the center of Belgrade, BTA reported.

A group of students stopped traffic on "Takovska" and "Svetogorska" streets as a continuation of the more than 30-hour blockade of the national Serbian television (RTS), whose main building is at number 10 on "Takovska" streets.

The students are playing vuvuzelas and standing with their hands raised, calling on citizens to support them, and police are trying to push them out and free the intersection.

On "Svetogorska" Two gendarmerie vans are deployed, while trolleybuses and buses are stationary. The students announced that the blockade is indefinite and are demanding that RTS stop broadcasting, as they say "public media are working against all of us" .

Another demand of the protesters is to hold a new competition for members of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) because "the elected media experts are politically engaged".

On the evening of April 14, students who have been blocking over 60 faculties in Serbia for months suddenly blocked the entrances to RTS in Belgrade and Radio Television Vojvodina (RTV) in Novi Sad.

RTS has not interrupted its regular broadcast, but early this morning the website of the national Serbian television was briefly unavailable. Last night and today, the RTS leadership called on students to end the blockade, calling it "illegal".
