Russian Ambassador to London: The British are conducting undeclared hostile actions against us - 1

Recent publications in Western newspapers show that Britain is conducting undeclared hostile actions against Russia, said Russian Ambassador to Britain Andrei Kelin.

"We are seeing new revelations about the extent of British and American involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. After the sensational article in the "New York Times", the "Times" newspaper distinguished itself with its material, giving specifics about the British in Ukraine," the diplomat said. “This information did not surprise us. We have known about this for a long time and have spoken publicly. But earlier such statements were presented here, on the Island, as Russian propaganda, and now British journalists themselves are writing about it.“

“Why is London interested in the appearance of such materials? I think it is important for them to remind themselves and others of their role in unleashing the conflict and keeping it hot. This is important against the background of London's struggle for patronage over Ukraine in various Western formats such as Ramstein. There is also a desire to prevent a peaceful settlement. The above-mentioned articles always advocate the most escalating scenarios for the development of events“, the ambassador notes.

“It remains only to regret that, despite all the “candidness” of the publications in the “New York Times” and the Times, they did not become an occasion for a debate on this issue, for example, in parliament, where much more minor issues, including those of a political nature, are discussed. In other words, this is a tacit admission that Britain is carrying out undeclared hostile actions against us," said Kelin.

At the end of March, the "New York Times", citing its own investigation, reported that the United States is much more involved in the conflict in Ukraine than Washington claims. According to the publication, the United States provided the Kiev authorities with coordinates of the positions of the Russian armed forces from the territory of the US base in Wiesbaden on a daily basis. In addition, in 2022, the United States monitored every strike carried out by HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.

On April 11, The Times reported in a similar article about Britain's deep involvement in the conflict. According to the newspaper, as early as February 2022, dozens of British servicemen went to Kiev to train the Ukrainian armed forces in working with anti-tank systems that London began to supply. When the UK delivered long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Kiev in May 2023, the article noted that UK military experts were secretly sent to Ukraine to equip aircraft with them and train Ukrainians to use them.
