The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law approving the presidential decree on the extension of martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days - from May 9 to August 7, 2025, Ukrinform reported.
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the "Golos" faction (Voice) indicated on Telegram that 357 deputies voted for the bill approving the extension of martial law, and 346 deputies supported the bill extending general mobilization.
Accordingly, the term of martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine was extended for a period of 90 days, starting from May 9, which means that they will remain in force until August 7, 2025.
Ukrinform recalls that Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. On the same day, martial law was declared in Ukraine, as well as general mobilization - initially planned to last until March 26.
Subsequently, the parliament extended the duration of martial law and general mobilization 14 times.
