US Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem was robbed at a restaurant in Washington, and her bag containing documents and a large sum of money was stolen, CNN reported, citing law enforcement sources.
Noem was spotted while dining downtown over the weekend. “The stolen bag contained a driver's license, medication, apartment keys, passport, official pass, cosmetic bag, blank checks and approximately $3,000 in cash,“ the report said.
Secret Service agents, who provide security for the minister and were with her at the restaurant, reviewed security camera footage and determined that "the thief was an unidentified white male" wearing a medical mask. The case is under investigation.
