The current public approval rating of US President Donald Trump has reached a historic low of 42%, Reuters reported, citing a joint survey with Ipsos.
„About 42% of respondents in a six-day survey approve of Trump's performance as president in the first hundred days of his term, the agency said.
It is noted that after his inauguration, 47% of respondents approved of Trump's work as head of state.
According to the survey, about 59% of respondents, including a third of Republicans, are of the opinion that America is losing credibility on the world stage. The reason for this may be the aggressive policy of the head of the White House and the concern of Americans about the efforts of the American leader to expand power, Reuters explains.
According to a Gallup survey conducted during Trump's first presidential term, 41% approved of his policies. This figure is 19% lower than that of American presidents since World War II. The average approval rating of US presidents from 1952 to 2020 in the first quarter of their term is 60%.
