Great Britain will probably refuse to send troops to Ukraine because the risks are too high, the "Times" newspaper writes, citing British sources.
A source involved in the "coalition of the willing" commented that the kingdom does not have enough forces to carry out such a task.
"The United Kingdom has always thought so. "France was the one that wanted a tougher approach," he added.
However, it is emphasized that instead of sending "thousands of soldiers", Britain will focus on rebuilding and rearming the Ukrainian army.
Following the Coalition of the Willing summit in Paris on March 27, French President Emmanuel Macron said that several members of the coalition plan to send deterrent forces to Ukraine. As the French leader emphasized, this initiative is not aimed at replacing Ukrainian troops, but at containing Russia - the contingent would be deployed in strategic locations previously determined with the Ukrainians. Macron noted that not everyone agrees with the initiative, but this is not necessary for its implementation.
