An enemy Su-30SM aircraft caught fire and burned on the territory of the central airport in Rostov-on-Don. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, UNIAN reports.

"Another action of resistance against Putin's criminal regime in Russia – at the central airport in Rostov-on-Don, the aggressor's multi-role Su-30SM fighter with the tail number "35" caught fire and burned, the message says.

The GUR notes that the approximate value of the destroyed enemy aircraft is $50 million.

"The scale of the forces ready to retaliate against the Kremlin and carry out actions to demilitarize the aggressor state is growing", the intelligence agency emphasizes.

The General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds that "there will be fair retribution for any war crime committed against the Ukrainian people."

Russia continues to lose its aircraft

UNIAN wrote earlier that a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber suddenly crashed this month in the Irkutsk region. It is precisely such aircraft that the Russian forces use for massive shelling over Ukraine.

According to ''RosSMI'', there were four crew members on board. They managed to eject, but the pilot died.

As noted by the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, the plane was performing a planned flight and crashed near the village of Buret, Bokhansky district.

Earlier, on March 24, a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft crashed in the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation. RosSMI reported at the time that the cause of the crash of the armored military aircraft, which is designed to support the ground forces, was "technical malfunction". According to one version, both engines failed.
