Ukraine's cybersecurity is at risk after Washington reduced the amount of aid it provides to Kiev, Bloomberg reported.
According to the agency, since US leader Donald Trump came to power, contracts with dozens of specialists who were engaged in cyber support for hundreds of Ukrainian facilities have been frozen or canceled. Previously planned deliveries of computer equipment and software have not been implemented. Many projects that had already been started have remained unfinished - the contractors did not have time.
As an example of one of the frozen projects in the field of cybersecurity, Bloomberg cites a large contract for $128 million that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) signed with DAI Global LLC in 2020. The company expected the work to continue until September 2026, but in January of this year, funding was suspended and many specialists involved in the project were sent on temporary leave.
