The new MAZ minivan was declassified in Belarus. The local Ministry of Industry and Trade released photos showing fragments of the BMG M5P passenger car. It was donated to the administration of the Brest region.
In the minivan, it is easy to recognize the Forthing Lingzhi of the Dongfeng concern. And the more interesting thing is that the Chinese donor is a licensed copy of Mitsubishi Space Gear from the 90s with a modified filling.
In China, the model has both an electric and gasoline version, which corresponds to the description of the new Belarusian car. Brestmash belongs to the Minsk Automobile Plant, but for some reason it was decided to create another BMG brand.
The technology is unconfirmed, but it is known: the seven-seat minivan will be produced in both electric and gasoline configurations. The capacity of the enterprise will be up to 10 thousand cars per year.
The original Chinese model is only rear-wheel drive, and under the hood of the electric versions there are electric motors with a power of 82, 122 or 204 horsepower. DVG versions include two gasoline variants: 122 horsepower. (1.6 liters) or 133 hp. (2.0 liters).
DVG versions are equipped with a mechanical gearbox. The success of this morally outdated minivan in Belarus will depend on the price. The plan for the first year is 1,400 cars. The electric car will obviously be expensive, but we have to wait for the price of the LPG versions.
