The Shanghai Auto Show opened this week, with companies fighting for the wallets of buyers in the world's largest market, trying to show off impressive new products. For the Zeekr brand, this is the flagship 9X SUV, which represents a departure from the brand's purely electric tradition, but provides impressive mileage without using an internal combustion engine.
Equipped with the latest CATL Freevoy traction battery, the capacity of which has not yet been specified, but it is it that allows the large and heavy car to travel up to 380 km without starting the two-liter internal combustion engine, with which it is also equipped. The presence of a turbine allows the internal combustion engine of this hybrid to produce 279 hp. power, which is rare among Chinese serial hybrids.

In theory, an internal combustion engine with this power should be enough for confident movement at high speeds without reducing the charge of the traction battery, but this can only be judged by the results of the Zeekr 9X tests. This car is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
This large SUV with luxury equipment also does not lack dynamics; it reaches 100 km/h in 3 seconds. The car is equipped with a two-chamber air suspension and a lateral stability stabilization system. Nvidia shared with Zeekr two Thor-generation Tegra processors, which will be responsible for active driver assistance systems, providing performance at the level of 1400 TOPS.
The presence of 5 lidars and many other sensors will allow the implementation of level 3 autonomous driving according to the SAE classification. Theoretically, the driver will be able to take his hands off the wheel and not look at the road for some time, but in China itself, such behavior will most likely be prohibited by local laws. The CATL traction battery in this hybrid is designed to be almost fully charged in 15 minutes, and Zeekr will begin distributing 1.3 MW charging stations in the third quarter of the year.
