Since its launch in September 2024, the new Renault Grand Koleos, which is a facelift version of the Chinese Geely Monjaro, has achieved record sales in South Korea. After its appearance at the end of September, 22,036 units were sold in the remaining three months of the year, significantly exceeding expectations.
In December 2024, the model reached a sales level of 7 thousand cars per month, which allowed it to compete seriously with local top manufacturers Hyundai and KIA.
The success of the Grand Koleos has practically saved Renault Korea, as this model accounted for 88% of the company's sales in December. Overall, Renault's sales in South Korea increased by 80.6% in 2024, reaching 39,816 units, with more than half of this volume falling on the Grand Koleos.
The car has minimal differences from the Geely Monjaro in terms of exterior design, but the interior has undergone some changes. It is available in two versions - with a two-liter turbo engine, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and with a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter engine.
