Toyota launches small Land Cruiser as a direct competitor to Suzuki Jimny

Toyota has officially confirmed the development of a new compact crossover, which will be based on the Land Cruiser Mini concept. As Carscoops reports, the model will be a kind of response to the rapid success of the Suzuki Jimny - but with its own, characteristic of "Toyota" approach to quality, reliability and functionality.

Given the long-standing love of many Bulgarians for the Land Cruiser, it is not difficult to imagine that the smallest representative of this legendary family will easily find its audience in our country. After all, it combines iconic design, cross-country ability and modern technologies - in a compact, city-friendly format.

What is known at this stage:

The length of the new crossover will be approximately 4.5 meters - significantly less than that of classic "cruisers", which positions the model closer to the B-SUV segment.

The design of the new model will remain true to the spirit of the Land Cruiser: straight lines, brutal shapes, utilitarian mood.

A wide range of environmentally friendly engines is expected:

four-cylinder gasoline engine;

hybrid version with the company's own e-Four system;

PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle);

full electric version.

The Land Cruiser Mini will first appear in Japan, and in 2026 the model will reach European dealers.
