The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has launched a new version of the Lada Niva Travel, which differs from the previous one with a new engine and a modified appearance. This was reported by the VKontakte Avtograd resource.
“A prototype of the Lada Niva Travel car has been assembled on the VAZ conveyor, which has a new 90-horsepower engine with a new front bumper“, the public announcement says.
It is also noted that the front of the new Russian SUV visually resembles the presented electric Lada Niva Travel. In addition, AvtoVAZ has installed a new three-spoke steering wheel on the Lada Niva Travel "jeeps".
What is curious about the appearance is that the steering wheel does not have the inscription Airbag, which is usually found on all steering wheels with an airbag for the driver. However, the company did not provide information on whether the new version of the Lada Niva Travel will have airbags.
These will not be all the changes to this car. AvtoVAZ will update the Lada Niva Travel SUV within two years. The car will receive a new radiator grille. In addition, the SUV will be equipped with fully LED headlights, and this will happen this year.
