The British automotive portal WhatCar has named the most reliable five-year-old compact crossovers. According to the study, the leader is the Mini Countryman from 2017-2024 years of production. This is the most reliable subcompact crossover under five years old on the used car market.
The reliability of this car is estimated at 99.7%. Only 2% of the owners of this model who participated in the study complained about malfunctions, most of which were related to the body.
Second place goes to the Audi Q2, produced since 2016, with a reliability rating of 99.5%. Only 3% of owners of these cars report any problems, and all of them are related to the engine.
Third place went to the hybrid version of the Hyundai Kona 2017-2023. (98.2% reliability). 7% of owners complain about malfunctions, most of the problems are related to electronics and standard navigation.
Interestingly, the fourth place is taken by the cheapest crossover on the market, the Dacia Duster, produced since 2018. (98.8% reliability). The fifth place in the ranking is taken by the Hyundai Kona with a gasoline engine from 2017-2023 (98.7% reliability).
The list also includes the Volkswagen T-Roc (2018 – to date, reliability 98.4%); Volkswagen T-Cross (2019 – to date, 98% reliability); Suzuki Vitara (2015-present, reliability 97.7%); Honda HR-V (2015-2022, reliability 97.1%) and Toyota C-HR (2016-2023, reliability 96.8%).
