In 2023, pipeline gas supplies from the Russian Federation to Europe amounted to about 28.15 billion cubic meters, according to data from "Gazprom" and ENTSOG.

According to the International Energy Agency, Russian pipeline supplies to Europe (including Turkey) in 2023 have fallen to their lowest level since the early 1970s and amount to 45 billion cubic meters.

In total, in December 2024, the pumping of Russian gas to Europe amounted to 2.83 billion cubic meters against 2.75 billion cubic meters in November 2024 and 2.6 billion cubic meters in December 2023.

Thus, the volume of supplies to the countries of Western and Central Europe in transit through the territory of Ukraine in 2024 amounted to 15.4 billion cubic meters, which is 6% more than a year earlier. In December 2024, pumping increased by 2.4% compared to November 2024 and almost changed compared to December 2023 — 1.3 billion cubic meters. m.

Supplies via the “Turkish Stream“ pipeline to the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe in 2024 increased by 23% — to 16.7 billion cubic meters. In December 2024, Russian gas exports to Europe in this direction increased by 3% compared to November and jumped by 14% compared to December 2023 — to 1.53 billion cubic meters.

In addition, according to data from the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority, supplies of Russian pipeline gas to the country for 10 months of 2024 amounted to 15.5 billion cubic meters. By the end of 2024, they could amount to about 20 billion cubic meters. Thus, the total export of Russian gas via pipelines to Europe (including Turkey) last year could amount to about 52 billion cubic meters, compared to 49 billion cubic meters a year earlier.
