Car manufacturer BMW plans to equip all next-generation models with artificial intelligence developed by the Chinese company Alibaba, writes the Bild newspaper.
According to the publication, this will make customers' trips smarter, safer and more personalized. From 2026, artificial intelligence will take on the role of a travel companion: it will give restaurant recommendations, plan routes in real time and understand natural language better than ever. BMW hopes to catch up with Chinese automakers.
The new generation of BMW cars will include two digital assistants: Car Genius, which analyzes the technical condition of the car, and Travel Companion, which is responsible for navigation and entertainment. The focus is on the Qwen language model developed by Alibaba.
