Specially for FACTS, Hristina Lozarska - editor-in-chief of the only yacht magazine in our country, Yachts Bulgaria, tells us
Madam Lozarska, the Dubai Yacht Show starts today. What are your impressions of the first day?
The event is extremely well organized. Upon entering, you find yourself in the indoor area, where you can get acquainted with the latest yacht accessories, toys and equipment. Then you go outside, where you are greeted by yachts and supercars. And all this with the skyscrapers of Dubai in the background.
What makes this exhibition different from the others that are held?
The Dubai International Boat show, in my opinion, is more grandiose in terms of the yachts that we can see here. The atmosphere of the city itself also contributes to a different exhibition, where we see more fun, activities and glamour.
How many companies are participating this year? How many yachts are presented and how many visitors are expected this year?
The event is attended by about 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world, and the yachts we see are 200. Dubai is expected to welcome over 200,000 people who have come especially for the exhibition.
The price of the largest yacht at the exhibition - about 120 feet - which is also expected to be the most expensive, remains a secret, and will only be announced upon serious interest and an official request.
What are the fashion trends this year in the yachting business?
The interior is usually created with neutral tones that exude class: beige, brown, dark blue, gray and black. Of course, when the owner creates his own yacht (which is most often the case with larger models), these trends give way to personal style and preferences.
What is the most extravagant thing, in terms of interior and design, that you have seen on a yacht?
A yacht, all in gold: Gold hull, gold interior.
Holidays on a yacht have become increasingly popular in Bulgaria in recent years. What is this trend worldwide? What are your impressions?
More and more people are realizing that renting a yacht and sailing around different places for a week or two doesn't mean spending a huge amount of money. Charter companies offer the option to visit a new and different place every day, at prices similar to those we would pay in a 5-star hotel. I think this will continue to develop and yachting holidays will become more and more popular.
In a month your magazine will be 4 years old. What is it like to publish a yacht magazine in Bulgaria?
Well, it's not easy, one of the most challenging things for me was finding the right team. But with the help of our partners, Best Boats Only, MS Yachting, Venid yacht and BG Yachting, we manage to cope and develop, I hope for many years to come.
How will you continue to develop it, in terms of content and vision?
We have an idea to create more lifestyle content, interviews with interesting personalities and travel stories!
