US President Donald Trump may be invited to Moscow on May 9, Le Point reports.
The newspaper's sources claim that the parties may "celebrate" not so much May 9 as their joint "agreement in the peace talks on Ukraine".
"If everything goes well for them and their joint plan, May 9, 2025 will be the day of their triumph, first of all of Putin's triumph", the article states.
The newspaper also specifies that according to the plan of the US special representative Keith Kellogg, the war could end on May 9.
Neither the American nor the Russian side has yet officially commented on this information.
On February 18, the first negotiations between the US and Russia after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine were held in the Saudi capital Riyadh. They lasted 4.5 hours. Both the US and Russia generally stated that they were positive, with the parties reaching a number of cooperation agreements.
