The pedestal of the “Rozhen“ pylon, which was discovered a little over a year ago with donations of Bulgarian citizens, needs urgent repair. Most visible, however, is the lack of a base on the right side of the pedestal.
This is why BGNES is sounding the alarm.
The slabs that make up the entire monument begin to shift seriously.
As you can see from the photos, a whole hand can freely fit into the slits.
Sand was thrown along the plates, which began to crumble, and from there comes the displacement of the plates themselves, which have inscriptions related to Bulgarian spirituality and history.
Most visible, however, is the lack of a base on the right side of the pedestal. Only immediate intervention will prevent the displacement of the plates and subsequent destruction of the entire structure
The BGNES correspondent recalls that the “Rozhen“ was opened on July 13, 2023. President Rumen Radev was also present at the ceremony.

The monument is dedicated to two anniversaries that were celebrated in 2023 – 111 years from the Liberation of the Rhodopes and 120 years from Ilindensko – The Transfiguration Uprising. I BGNES
