Korman Ismailov to FACTS: I expected that Dogan would end badly because almost everything around him is built on myths - 1

DPS is a party whose presidents are installed, and Ahmed Dogan is also installed. After a while, when he mastered the structures and began to suggest that DPS was only his brainchild and he was its beginning and end, my disillusionment with him began. What should we expect from the DPS... Korman Ismailov, who was part of the DPS and knows the processes in the party inside and out, spoke to FAKTI.

- Mr. Ismailov, for the first time DPS voters will have the right to vote in these early parliamentary elections. Peevski's DPS or Dogan's DPS - which of the two will be more attractive to them?
- Let me fix you. Traditional DPS voters have always had a choice in the parties of authentic politicians such as Mehmed Hoxha, Guner Tahir and Kasim Dal, and quite a few of them have done so. What today's three-letter DPS has as support is at its all-time lows. Because today this party has almost nothing in common with what it was 10 or 20 years ago. What we see today are two factions, but which one is more unsustainable than the other. I am talking about the traditional DPS voters - they do not have the possibility of a better choice.

- Did you ever expect that such a moment would come in the history of DPS that the party would split…
- I expected that Dogan would end badly. Many others have expected it before me. And this is because almost everything around him that he represents is built on myths and legends, on nefarious schemes and corruption. The sad thing is that what is happening today as DPS-Peevski is in no way different from the so-called DPS-Dogan. Look at their cameramen and you will understand.

- But how does all this look in the eyes of voters. Who to support…
- One part will support one, another part will support the other, and a third part will support neither, but will step back and be among those millions of voters who want and will lay the new foundations of the pushing back from the bottom Bulgarian state.

- Did Delyan Peevski turn out to be the man who could afford to oppose Ahmed Dogan?
- Between Peevski and Dogan there is only a struggle for power and survival.

They are figures who can survive only through power and money.

Right now, who is stronger and who is weaker only matters to their apparatuses. Because they are the transmission and mechanism of authoritarian rule and dirty money. And this is because neither one nor the other leader gets its power from the tortured and lied voter through the democratic political process in our country.

They have been working on the money-power-money scheme for a long time.

And they realize a significant part of their election results by buying votes with the dirty money from their circles, controlled vote through pressure and threats, which is under the umbrella of compromised employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the judicial system.

Peevski's DPS and Dogan's DPS are very similar. With them, there is neither ideological nor value opposition.

Let's take stock of so many years what Dogan has done for himself and his hoops and what he has done for people… Perhaps the case with Peevski is different.

- We witness another very interesting thing. The Sarays in Rosenets and Boyana were deserted, Ahmed Dogan left them, after which he lost the brand “DPS“…
- This shows one thing that Peevski is currently winning the battles. Why didn't Dogan take Peevski out of his shed called Hotel Berlin? Why doesn't Dogan attack Peevski's rings of companies the way he attacks his and why does he allow Peevski to dominate him and take over the party?

Observant people see that this fight is a fight between two mobster figures.

And it is not important at all who will win, because citizens, society, institutions and our country as a whole lose from all this. Statehood is drifting to the bottom, and I believe that one day, when we push back from there, then neither Dogan nor Peevski will be a factor.

- The brand “DPS“ went into the hands of Delyan Peevski, and against him we will see Ahmed Dogan with his face. Who will attract more supporters?
- This question does not concern me at all, because both will be disappointed. They will not achieve the goals they have set for themselves in terms of number of votes.

Many of the voters will walk away in disgust.

In the last elections, DPS achieved a peak in terms of the number of deputies, but it was not a success in terms of the number of people who defeated them, considering that nearly 40% were bought or controlled votes.

- In your opinion, what happened in the relationship between Delyan Peevski and Ahmed Dogan? The vote of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet itself. was a kind of crossroads, because then the discord arose after the honorary chairman called not to support the composition, but it is hardly the only one…
- If we are talking about the process of splitting in the DPS, then we are talking about behind-the-scenes financial-political bargaining between the two bash deribes of the principle - “… I give you this money, you give me this party“.

Peevski is particularly good at gaining your trust and then taking everything from you.

The example of Tsvetan Vassilev and KTB is a confirmation of this – executed like a textbook.

- Can we expect that these two wings will eventually come together again in one DPS?
- Both wings in the DPS are absolutely inadequate and unsustainable for a European, legal and democratic state. Both wings under the dictates of their leaders are aggressive tumors in the body of our post-communist society. Whether in one, five or ten years, I don't know, but society will inevitably overcome them. I am convinced of that.
