Orhan Ismailov in front of FACTS: They pushed him to such an extent that Ahmed Dogan became a farmer!?

We have two brands of the DPS in the elections . Who is stronger… Orhan Ismailov - chairman of the political party “People's Party of Freedom and Dignity” spoke to FAKTI on the subject.

- Mr. Ismailov, we are already in an election campaign, and sociologists point out that both wings in the DPS are entering the parliament. DPS Dogan has 7.9% and DPS Peevski 6.1%... Is this a good start?
- We already confused them. A good start to the “new beginning” or about the ancient past. Neither option is good for anyone. In the end, no one will come out victorious from what is happening in the so-called - I can't even say what kind of country we live in now that we see that democracy is gone. The truth is that we are in the period of the conquered state. We see how state institutions act or do not act, and you know that every single action or inaction leads to something...

- Two DPS in the parliament. Who will play what role?
- If we go back in time, what role did the DPS play in the parliament? When DPS was in the hands of Dogan, it was a balancer, when it went into the hands of Peevski - it became an aggressor. Why am I going back in time… Because we predicted this process in DPS, which we are currently observing, back in 2012. Even then, we named the problems exactly, what were the exact names, but no one would listen to us. Now the moment has come when this happened and now all people see what DPS is and was. No one profits from this thing - not the state, not society, not anyone. Now we see what was the reality and the truth about DPS. We established this a long time ago, we differentiated the diagnosis, we said what to do, but no one listened to us.

- We have already heard Delyan Peevski say that Ahmed Dogan is a separatist, that he left the DPS. How it just sounds…
- Look, unfortunately, it was brought to this point that Ahmed Dogan became a farmer!? Yes, the people around Dogan had other alternative options, but in one way or another they are worried even about us because we had the opportunity to fight this battle together. After all, everyone has the right to choose.

- And have any conversations with you been held by the DPS circle about Ahmed Dogan participating together?
- Conversations in this direction have not been conducted with me, because there is no way to conduct them. We - in the “People's Party of Freedom and Dignity”, have an Executive Council, and in our Statute we have clearly written rules that do not allow people from State Security and the like to occupy such important positions.

- We have already heard the startling words “Renaissance process”. Why are they taking out now… What is the purpose of them?
- Unfortunately, the truth is that the DPS under the leadership of Dogan during these years could not do anything about this issue. Otherwise, Peevski is a good strategist, has a good PR and this has been proven over time. “The revival process“ is a cause on the basis of which DPS was created at the time. Saga Peevski wants to say that what was promised to the people was not done for so many years, and now he will do it. Although after so many years, who is alive, who is gone, etc. But you know - when elections come, things are always pulled from everywhere and in every way just to get people's attention.

- Hasn't this old wound healed? To the older supporters of DPS, these words mean something, but to the younger ones…
- See, “The Revival Process” does not mean only changing the names of the people of one ethnicity. At the moment, now we have a process again, because we see how state institutions act at different times, in different ways, at different moments.

The process is now called deep and conquered state.

Look at the state institutions, how they work, how they are used, how they are commanded. I notice this from the side. The state machine is launched at a precise moment, against precisely specific people, in the precise place. This is more troubling to me. For me, this is worse than a Revival process - when the state does not function and democracy is threatened. We see how businesses and property are seized, the destinies of families and people are broken… Here's the more worrying thing.

- Do you currently have any idea what is happening with DPS supporters in places. Are there any of the two camps in DPS – of Dogan or Peevski, preponderance?
- What I hear and see is related to the people in positions where the corporate vote in municipalities and regions is controlled. There, people are with the stronger - with Peevski. While the common man, the authentic DPS is rather close to Dogan.

- The vote inside Bulgaria can be predicted because there is sociology, but what can we expect from Turkey?
- I don't have specific information and it's hard for me to talk right now because I haven't heard any messages yet. As far as I can see, a neutrality is taking place on the part of Turkey.

- What are Erdogan's possibilities to intervene?
- Rather, it won't be clear. Erdogan is not against Dogan since yesterday. He tried to take it down another way – through DOST, but then the Bulgarian state was against it. Now we have a silence from Erdogan, and that also means a lot. Since there have been no messages so far, I think there won't be. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the election.
