The leader of the “DPS New Beginning” Delyan Slavchev Peevski has become the reason for the mobilization of a large number of teams, correspondingly, and large expenses at the expense of the budget, by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MI) and the National Service “Security” (NSO).
This was found by reporters of “Bivol” and FACTS< /strong> who visited the venue. He was the guest of honor at the reception for the National Day of the Republic of Turkey at the Ramada hotel in the capital. The area around the hotel was cordoned off by dozens of police cars, uniformed police officers and NSO officers.
Passing and parking of cars was prohibited in front of and around the hotel. According to sources of the two media, Delyan Peevski was guarded by at least 7-8 bodyguards, part of NSO employees, no less than 5 on duty and next to the cars in front of the front entrance of the hotel.
At the same time, journalists from “Bivole” and FACTS were not allowed to the event, although they duly identified themselves with press cards and business cards. Last but not least, the fact that among the employees who check the lists and admit the guests there was at least one activist of the Youth Organization of the DPS.
According to sources of “Bivole” in Ankara, who wished to remain anonymous, before the conflict between Delyan Slavchev Peevski and the honorary leader of DPS Ahmed Dogan, the leader of “DPS New Beginning” had a meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held in July 2024.
According to the source, at the relevant meeting, Peevski received Erdogan's personal support for the subsequent actions to split the party. All this explains why Delyan Peevski was welcomed as an honored guest by the ambassador of Turkey at the Ramada hotel. and why there were unprecedented security measures by the Ministry of the Interior and the National Security Service.
In front of the hotel's entrance, the reporters of “Bivole” and Fakti.bg noticed a motorcade, one of the Mercedes S class limousines was wearing a police blue jar, which means that one of the first persons was most likely present at the event. However, it is not clear whether Delyan Peevski has the right to such an official car and a blue jar, which only the first persons and heads of the relevant courts and the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria (PRB) drive.
