A cyclist is in danger of life after being swept away by a car in the village of Dolno Ozirovo. The incident was reported by calling 112 at 5:50 p.m. on November 15.
On the spot, the law enforcement officers found that when coming out of a right turn, a 22-year-old driver from Varshets entered the oncoming lane and hit a 59-year-old cyclist from Dolno Ozirovo, who was moving towards the center of the village. As a result of the collision, the cyclist suffered a fracture of three spinal vertebrae. He is admitted to the Multispecialty Hospital for active treatment “Dr. Stamen Iliev” in Montana.
The driver of the car was tested for alcohol and drugs, the samples were negative. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
