More and more children are dying on the road while riding scooters, bicycles, mopeds and others. This was said by the deputy head of the "Traffic Police" to the Main Directorate "National Police" Maria Boteva.
According to the statistics from the beginning of the year to November 15, five children died in such incidents, while for the same period in 2023. their number is two, the injured are 227 compared to 159 last year.
Since the beginning of the year, 10 children have died in accidents. For the same period in 2023, there were 29 deaths.
There is a decrease in the number of child pedestrians killed, as there are no such cases this year compared to four in the same period last year, said Maria Boteva, quoted by BTA.
