PP -DB call on the other political forces to withdraw their candidates for the Speaker of the National Assembly and to unite around the candidacy of the oldest national representative.
Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB stated this to BNT.
He is not optimistic that the election of the Speaker of the Parliament will be reached today.
"It is strange that the first political force, which has the greatest responsibility, shows the greatest irresponsibility. We, as the second, did it and withdrew our candidate, we call on the others to do the same. We need more responsibility towards people and society, there is a budget to adopt and many laws, and we are busy electing a president", commented Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB.
From his words, it became clear that the decision of PP-DB to withdraw their candidate for chairman was not an easy one.
"It is not an easy decision to withdraw the candidate for president, but we did it to untie the work of the parliament. Every day the whole of Bulgaria cannot watch how the deputies work for 20 minutes, then leave and schedule a meeting for another date. This is absolutely frivolous, we were hoping for maturity from the other parties. It's strange that GERB doesn't do it", said Ivaylo Mirchev.
