For at least three parliaments, we have observed a similar situation as the current one. The situation at the moment has made visible a dilemma - it should not and cannot have three axes - the first is “Revival”, the second is Delyan Peevski and the third is a return to the old constitutional arrangement with the caretaker governments appointed by the president. These are the same blockdimensions. Any movement in one direction or another leads to other blockages or is detrimental to the political forces. This was stated by the sociologist from “Alpha Research” Boryana Dimitrova in the program “ More from the day“ on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
„In recent weeks, the Constitutional Court has been charged with too many political tasks. He will solve one side of the dilemma, but the political forces believe that we should not return to the situation in which the appointment of caretaker governments blocks the work of the parliament, she pointed out.
„The parliamentary forces should insist on greater weight of the parliament. When we talk about these dilemmas we must also keep in mind whether, as a result of all these processes, we do not see the first sprouts of rejection of the current type of democracy. Part of the political forces want a stronger presidential power. We are not convinced that what is happening on the parliamentary stage will not push the situation towards another political model. "Politicians are not thinking about a future acting prime minister, not about the election of the Speaker of the National Assembly," Dimitrova pointed out.
„Even when they realized the results of these elections, the political forces as cells started to look around for actions in two tracks”, she reported. According to Dimitrova, PP-DB made a strategic mistake by proposing the declaration of a sanitary cordon before they heard what GERB was proposing. According to her, they also fall into another trap – are moving closer to the “Revival”.
„Politicians are debtors to the Bulgarian citizens. The majority of Bulgarian citizens want to form a government. There are important issues to be resolved – it's about the budget, about business, about the economy”, the sociologist pointed out.
„What Bulgaria has conquered in the last 25 years is not a given. Bulgaria has important priorities on which agreement must be reached. I hope that tomorrow the chairman of the National Assembly will be elected, Boryana Dimitrova also said.
