BSP invites PP-DB, Vazrazhdane, APS, ITN and MECH to talks for the election of a parliamentary leader - 1

"BSP - United Left" sent a letter to five parliamentaryly represented political forces in the 51st National Assembly, inviting them to talk about the formation of a supra-party majority, which would nominate the Speaker of the Parliament. The letter for talks has been sent to the representatives of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB), “Revival“, "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (APS), "There is such a people" (ITN) and "Morality, unity, often" (MECH), announced the party press center, quoted by BTA.

"The goal is to form a supra-party majority that will stand behind several clear priorities, and on the basis of these priorities to appoint a parliamentary speaker. This approach will lead to a real launch of the work of the parliament", the letter states.

"The election result did not lead to a clear majority in the National Assembly, and the path to consensus is mined by red lines. And this situation is repeated not once or twice, but in seven successive legislatures. It is time to stop the antagonism and opposition. Because people rely on us and expect from us common sense, political wisdom, but also statesmanlike behavior," said the "BSP-United Left".

The letter points out that the mathematical majority for choosing first among equals will get the people's representatives out of one deadlock and lead them to the next. "Without clear priorities, behind which this majority, which has appointed a president, is ready to stand, there is no way to get to real legislative activity, the way is opened for floating majorities and illegitimate influence on deputies, which can lead our country into even more dire situation", the letter states.
