Nastimir Ananiev: Both Bozhankov and Laurer were warned that if they voted one way, they would be asked to resign

In general, for me, this internal action is related to tension between Continuing the Change and Democratic Bulgaria as a whole, since DB you know that they were pulling for the support of Silvi Kirilov, at one point today they came out and said - we will support one time, commented the former deputy and politician from the Volt party

Nastimir Ananiev: Both Bozhankov and Laurer were warned that if they voted one way, they would be asked to resign - 1

„According to my inside information, they were warned, there was a discussion, and they knew that if they voted one way, their resignations would be requested and they would be expelled. So they were aware of these events. Whether it's right or wrong, I think when you're part of a coalition, and you had to go along with the decisions or come out and say why you're not going to go along."

This is what the former deputy and politician from the Volt party Nastimir Ananiev commented on bTV Radio on the occasion of the vote for Daniel Laurer and Yavor Bozhankov, quoted by novini.bg.

They did not respect the party decision and voted against Silvi Kirilov's candidacy for the Speaker of the National Assembly, as a result of which Laurer was excluded from all organs of "We continue the change", and the resignations of both of them were requested from the parliamentary group, but from Democratic Bulgaria have declared against their exclusion.
"Overall, for me, this internal action is about a tension between "We continue the change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" in general, since DB you know that they were pulling for the support of Silvi Kirilov, at some point today they come out and say – we will support one time. In my opinion, they knew that Daniel Laurer and Yavor Bozhankov would not vote and that in fact their voting did not matter at all, since it was very clear from the calculation that everything depended literally on one vote for Silvi Kirilov's election to pass. I don't see who gains from all this internal tension.

I also understand "Democratic Bulgaria", because maybe they are trying to do some internal intrigue. The last 5-6 parliaments they always have 18 or 19 deputies. Even before, when they were alone, before the PP, there were still so many people's representatives, plus or minus one or two people, and unfortunately the PP is losing an awful lot, out of 50-60 deputies, they are now 17. And here it comes one question – if there are new elections, wouldn't it be better for these two formations to separate and give more opportunities to more voters to vote for a different kind of politics and way of achieving policies in the National Assembly? Because we know that they are of the same mind on many subjects, but there are also subjects on which they differ."
