The seventh consecutive protest against the election of Borislav Sarafov as Prosecutor General was held in the capital, BNR reported.
The civil initiative "Justice for Everyone" expects the National Assembly to quickly form the legal committee to review the Law on the Judiciary.
According to them, this law will terminate the procedure for Sarafov, who is the only candidate for the position. They are preparing larger protests next year if the parliament does not adopt the legislation by January 10.
Velislav Velichkov, chairman of the NGI "Justice for Everyone": "The National Assembly must end this vicious procedure for the election of Sarafov as Prosecutor General with changes to the Law on the Judiciary. This can only happen if the law is adopted by January 10, which means an urgent election of a legal committee tomorrow and the adoption of the judiciary bills on the first vote on Friday.
